Saint Julian Guild: Hospitality and Welcoming
The Saint Julian Guild consists of active, committed disciples of Jesus at St. Mary’s who welcome newcomers to the St. Mary’s family. Julians contact new parishioners immediately after they register in order to introduce them to all aspects of Saint Mary’s Church.
In addition to helping new parishioners get to know St. Mary’s, Julians help meet the spiritual needs of newcomers by directing them to the appropriate parish resource for prayer requests, sacramental needs, etc. Julians welcome newcomers via phone conversations, face to face meetings after Mass, and a monthly New Members Dinner.
The core of the Julian’s role is to welcome new parishioners in Christ’s name and to introduce them to our Parish Mission which is to follow the Way of the Lord Jesus as faithful disciples. The Julian exemplifies Christian discipleship by extending hospitality and care to seekers and the new members of our spiritual family.
