Marriage Preparation
Preparation for the Sacrament of Marriage begins at least six months before the date of a couple’s wedding ( click here for more specifics on wedding policies).
The focus of the preparation process is two-fold — relational and sacramental. Couples engage in a process of learning about one another as well as acquiring life-long habits and skills that will help them build Christ-centered, strong, healthy marriages.
Couples also are invited to form a sacramental understanding of marriage as the union of one man and woman in Jesus Christ. The focus during this dimension of preparation helps couples grow together as disciples of Jesus and to see their covenant as an element of God’s Plan of Salvation for the world.
To begin the process of preparing for marriage at St. Mary’s, please read the section in this site about the Sacrament of Marriage, and then contact Deacon John Karandisevsky.
