Vacation Bible School
Vacation Bible School is a week-long, fun-filled learning experience for children in grades K-4 through 5th. Held from June 10th through June 14th 2013, V.B.S. at St. Mary’s takes place Monday through Friday from 9:00 am until 12 noon. In addition to its focus on Sacred Scripture (and stories from the Bible), V.B.S. engages children through the use of songs, crafts, skits, and fun with friends in a Christ-centered environment.
We are now looking for adult volunteers in the following areas, class guides (no teaching required), games, music & snacks; if you are interested please contact Kayla Weston at kaylalee97@hotmail.com or (864) 320-0100.
Deadline for registration is 8 May 2013.
FIRST DAY OVERVIEW: Theme: What is prayer? Destination: USA & Canada. The Saint for the day: St. Raphael. The Virtue for the day: Responsibility.
SECOND DAY OVERVIEW: Theme: Learning how to pray. Destination: Poland. The Saint for the day: St. Faustina. The Virtue for the day: Trust.
THIRD DAY OVERVIEW: Theme: Praying through the ups & downs. Destination: France. The Saint for the day: St. Bernadette. The Virtue for the day: Respect.
FOURTH DAY OVERVIEW: Theme: Putting prayer into action. Destination: Italy. The Saint for the day: St. John Bosco. The Virtue for the day: Zeal.
FIFTH DAY OVERVIEW: Theme: How to refuel our faith! Destination: Mexico. The Saint for the day: St. Juan Diego. The Virtue for the day: Humility.
