History
Saint Mary’s Catholic School traces its history over 109 years to its founding in Greenville by a group of dedicated religious sisters. Saint Mary’s commitment to provide an opportunity for excellence in Catholic education has remained unchanged through the years. A highly-qualified staff, a tradition of scholastic excellence, and a warm, caring atmosphere imbued with religious values are the hallmarks of Saint Mary’s Catholic School. Today, the school is under the guidance of the Dominican Sisters of Saint Cecilia Congregation of Nashville, Tennessee. Saint Mary’s is accredited by the Department of Education of the Roman Catholic Diocese of Charleston, South Carolina, and is a 2009 National Blue Ribbon School.

Saint Mary’s Catholic School provides a well-rounded, challenging academic curriculum giving a firm foundation in:

Technology
Saint Mary’s has a strong commitment to the integration of technology within the curriculum. The school has a computer lab and the Middle School classrooms are equipped with wireless laptops, netbooks and SMARTBoards.
